Nuisance animals such as feral cats or small wildlife are best caught using a live trap.  Citizens may borrow live traps from Garland Animal Services.  A small, fully refundable deposit ($25 for small traps, $50 for larger traps) is required. Citizens should call 972-205-3570 option 2 then 4 to ensure trap availability as the number of traps is limited. 

When animals are caught in a live trap they may be brought to the Garland Animal Shelter or you may call 972-205-3570 option 4 for removal.  An Animal Services Officer will remove the animal from the trap and will provide care and treatment if necessary.  Depending on the animal and the nuisance caused, Animal Services Officer will determine the best destination of the trapped animal.
